My mum is so sweet

I came home to find the loveliest dress laid out on my bed with a note attached, which read:

“I saw this and thought how beautiful you would wearing it on your first date.”

I love my mum.

Bit of a random post…

But lately a friend of mine and I have been reminiscing about the innocence of young love. It’s probably down to all the 80s/90s romcoms we’ve been obsessed with lately; not to mention it’s almost that time of the year. This may sound odd but we actually envy those young teens all doped up on puppy love. Simply because neither of us will ever experience that kind of relationship again. Ever. The next relationships we enter isn’t likely to have the same cutesy awkwardness that they use to. It’s like we’ve been there, done that, and finally built up the courage to actually look one another in the eye during a conversation. The next relationship we’re involved in won’t esteem holding hands, the odd peck on the cheek and the illusive snog as a huge leap in the “true love” direction. In fact, pretty much everything of the innocent, barely PG-rated nature will be non-existent. And that’s a shame. We should have enjoyed that kind of ‘love’ whilst it lasted. Now it’ll be all about sex, marriage, meeting the parents and what we’ll name our children… =/

whenever someone sits next to me on the train/bus, i’m like ‘yay a new friend!’

Unless, of course, they smell…
